Plato’s Closet Bloomington is a locally owned and operated franchise committed to all aspects of recycling while simultaneously offering trendy styles of clothing and accessories for 50-75% off of regular retail prices.  We pay cash on the spot for gently used, trendy teen and young adult clothing and accessories for both guys and girls.

 

How it works

All of our items are processed on a first come first serve basis (no appointment is necessary!).  Bring your items in freshly laundered, folded up in a laundry basket or shopping bag.  One of our certified buyers will sort through your items looking for trendy styles that have been in the stores less than 18 months ago and free of damage or wear.  Once your items have been sorted, they will be entered into our computer system.  All items are priced based on brand, style, and condition.  If you accept our price quote, you will receive cash on the spot.

Plato’s Closet offers a wide variety of styles and brands for teens and young adults.  Whether you’re after name brands or fashion forward style, we’ve got it all!  Find your favorite mall brands like American Eagle, Charlotte Russe, Hollister, H&M, and The Buckle.  Looking to be a trendsetter? We have an entire section dedicated to boutique styles from Urban Outfitters, Cha Cha, Cactus Flower, Anthropology and more. 

 

Dedicated to recycling

Not only does Plato’s Closet assist in the recycling of clothing and accessories, the Bloomington staff is devoted to recycling all materials used within the store including plastic bottles, bags, paper, cardboard, and anything else the local recycling center accepts. 

 

Community Care

All items not accepted by Plato’s Closet that are left behind by sellers are donated to various non-profit organizations.  We support our local schools, universities, artists, musicians, and non-profit organizations by providing gift cards for fundraisers and hanging flyers promoting events.
